Comfortable, if a little bland, this pub is remarkable for its bizarre 'library' wallpaper. Generally attracts a good crowd on a weekend. On such occasions it is not unknown for the barman (who is, by all accounts a 'character') to join you at your table to chew the fat over the issues of the day.

A decent enough local.

Draught ales are back on (Copper Dragon Golden Pippin at my present visit). Nothing special about this open-plan place but friendly, comfortable and tidy enough attracting a wide range of local customers which is always a good sign. Pool table, juke box and giant TV.

Very nice pub, mainly locals, beer excellent (Black Sheep, Smiths cask and a guest) and one big screen, with Sky Sports, that gets put on for the football. Really not very much wrong with the place.
