Every pub has one and this pub is no exception...the 5'6" baldy who reckoned he played goalie for England schoolboys..ah! well....he was friendly enough talking about the pub and Warwick in general. Tried 2 of the bitters and they were good..I will be back to try the grub which I have been told is good.

Take out of it the to old men in the corner and the young OTT person on the bar this is still a really good place to drink.

It must be 12 months since I last visited the 'Old Four Penny Shop' Not far from the race course. It always has 5 or 6 ales on offer. On this visit we had Lady Godiva and Best from the warwickshire Brewery, Wetheroak 'Libity', R.C.H. 'Pitchfolk' and Theakston 'XB'. Serves food and has a good wine list.
One of Warwick's best places. 8/10

Not bad. Needs a refresh inside but the beer is good. RCH Pitchfolk was good if somewhat lively.
