| went here for a quick pint on my way home from work. very quiet, only one other customer, beer was ok, the usual greene king offerings. mentioned it to a work colleague, & apparently it's known locally as 'Gods waiting room' Might try it again but not worth going out of your way for. steggers - 25 Mar 2008 14:52 |
| The Green King Abbot Ale is always well kept. Try it on a Monday evening when there is a spread of cheese and biscuits and Nick the friendly landlord will provide you with a glass of port to accompany it. This is a dog friendly pub, there is usually a bowl of water available. Great atmosphere, roaring fire in the Winter months. And depending upon your musical taste, you may find the background music fantastic 60's 70's plus other stuff - not loud but very pleasant to hear some classics! Bill Lang - 9 Apr 2006 18:57 |
