| As I have said before this is a regular haunt of mine and it truly goes against the grain to knock it. The quality of the ales served here is generally excellant. But, over the last week or so that quality has dropped off. Not sure why, selling right to the very bottom of the barrel is my guess. I don't suppose, or is it hope, this glitch won't last.......... | This pub is one of my regular drinking haunts. I'm not a teenager, I miss out on that modern pleasure by some 50 years. I drink 'real ale', not to get drunk but to enjoy the beer, and in this area there is nowhere consistantly better, let alone less expensive. The present staff are excellent, friendly and helpful. I think isolated comments from 2006 should be ignored as out of date, and just that, isolated. After all, this can be a very busy pub and staffing problems are not the responsibility of those remaining to man the walls. By the way, 'bmth123' I was there. Runningdog - 15 Dec 2007 20:23 |
