| Although closed for some time considerable work has been done on the building. Planning permission granted to erect single storey extensions at rear to provide new kitchen, toilet & dining facilities. | Sad to see on my last visit here recently no real ale on draught. Had a nice bottle of Old Speckled hen though so all was certainly not lost! Of all the pubs in the old town area of Poole (and there are a few!) the Gas Tavern has to be one of the most unspoilt - pretty much unaltered since victorian times I would say.
