Visited on a Monday lunchtime - what a wonderful pub! Lovely old fashioned decor, beer perfect (tried 6X and Pride - well kept and room temperature), excellent selection of food (6 veggy options - the ones we tried were top notch); dog friendly (we were invited to let our dog roam around the pub); superb friendly relaxed service.....

The Lions of Bledlow sure is a wonderfull place. The building sure tells a story. The owner Mark Mckeown is a great person himself. If i could choose a place too relax and meet the locals wich completes the story it would be THE LIONS OF BLEDLOW!!!!! I miss you all very much....... I would recomend the Lions to anyone who is openminded and not an old farttt.

Nip along to the Shepherd's Crook at Crowell, only 2 or 3 miles. Beer, food and staff will reach the mark I think you will find.

I have to agree about the comments about the staff, most are impolite at best.
I've been server off beer and told "its real ale its supposed to taste like that", I know my beers, shame they don't.

I've heard it may have been taken over, can anyone confirm?

Visited the Lions today. Nice pub, lovely building, very warm and snug inside. Traditional olde style English country pub.
Bar service....shocking. Absolutely shocking.

Rude, snappy, got the impression that they really couldn't be bothered. Once they'd sold you a pint then they forget about you and move straight onto the next customer.

Food was OK, but nothing special for nearly 9 quid.

Took forever to come too. Desert was tasty but ultimately naff.

Heard one gent politely ask for another beer as his was not right, to be met with indifference and the sort of attitude that shouted "we've got your money now, and now we don't care".

I wouldn't go back, and I'd suggest that if anyone is considering having lunch there, to seriously reconsider.
