| It was with great excitement that we approached this establishment one hot and stick summery evening in July 2011. Dina - a bedfellow of mine from many moons ago - and I had recently ran into each other, and we decided to investigate if the spark was still there over a pint or three and a hearty meal. Ah, predatory women and British ale, my two favourite pastimes as many of my readers will be all too aware. With that in mind we set off for the Good Intent after illegally foraging for some hops nearby in a local farm. All was well here. The service was prompt, the landlord very welcoming... jovial even. We sat down and reminisced at what we used to be, banter and ale flowing. A few pints later, inevitably nature was calling. Dina followed suit; clearly she remembered the drill oh so well! In the toilets, I stood with my hands at the back of my head, like someone just arrested, while she abused me with a bar of soap. After a while I shut my eyes, and Dina - wielding her fingernails now and staring longingly at my face - helped me out with two practised hands: one squeezing the family jewels, the other vigorous with the soap-and-warm-water treatment. It didn't take long for me to ejaculate for the fifth time in twelve hours, while looking like Roman public-bath regulars. Then she washed her hands, dried, and kissed me, and we decided to move on to a much more expensive restaurant to continue our adventures in the toilet there... | The new Landlord and Landlady: Steve and Pauline have really turned this Pub around. Unlike under the previous owners you can be confident the Pub will be open at the advertised times and certain of a friendly welcome. The locals are very friendly and more than happy to chat and share a joke with strangers. The two real ales: Harveys and Larkins were kept in excellent condition. The pub boasts a real fire and the food wonderful for the price. Try the Tempura prawns or a selection of dishes from the Tapas menu! LibationLust - 9 Nov 2011 22:15 |
| I had high hopes of The Good Intent when the new incumbents took over; their ideas seemed good and with the pub's marvellous situation it ought to be a gem. Sadly though, they're lumbered, willy-nilly, with their old clientele, who are an uninviting crew, and the place seems to have stayed very much where it was. Last time I went in there was no cask beer available, and I haven't tried again for some time, so maybe I'll give it another go - but I'm not optimistic. earlydrinker - 1 Oct 2011 12:52 |
| After the drab White House, my son and I popped down to the Good Intent. In spite of the opening times claiming it was open, the doors were well and truly locked. Oh well off to the excellent Walnut Tree then. Paul_Rochdale - 3 Feb 2010 22:15 |
| Sad to see beerbhuda's bad review as I've always found this little pub to be very friendly with great kept beers and great chat from the bar staff. I've been going there for well on 23 years now and have seen three sets of landlords, all of whom I have got on well with so lets hope Beerbhuda comes back soon and has a good experience. aleman07 - 8 Oct 2009 17:31 |
