This place would get a terrible rating as a pub. Luckily, it's not a pub, it's a steak restaurant that sells beer. I'll give it an 8 for that.

Although this place had Adnams, Hophead and Landlord available alongside a very limited draught selection on my recent visit I wasnt that keen as it was dimly lit and had some rubbish lounge music playing making it feel more like a restaurant than pub.

I dont plan on returning here.

Not keen - only used to go there when I worked close by but is overpriced and too small

and now after complaints from residents you aren't allowed to drink outside so it gets very packed inside

give it a miss

I have been to the cow quite a few times as I work around the corner, but I am sorry to see it slip into a sorry state.

I am sorry but the last few times I have been I can report:

rude / apathetic service
poorly cooked steaks (overdone)

and for the price, just doesnt cut it any more.

I'd like to write in more detail, including the already open bottle of wine delivered to the table, complete with a smirk,
but havent the time, or feel its worth reliving the memory

Popped back yesterday for lunch, it was pretty quiet in there.
Still good food and good service but couldn't help noticing all the particles of food stuck in the furrows of the table...probably enough for a burger I suspect ! So come on BC, scrub those tables, I don't wish to be put off my steak before its served up !!
