| The Black Lion Hotel is quietly located a mile from Strata Florida Abbey, Mid Wales, UK, 20 mins from Aberystwyth. This traditional country pub is noted for its selection of beers, wines and spirits, including lovingly maintained real ales, and an excellent selection of malt whiskeys, which can be enjoyed in the bar with its ancient beamed ceiling and open fire. The Black Lion offers a traditional home cooked menu using high quality locally sourced produce which is served in either the non-smoking restaurant or the traditional bar. There are five tastefully decorated ensuite bedrooms and probably the best cokked breakfast in Ceredigion! The Black Lion prides itself on having no piped music, television, jukeboxes, gaming machines or other distractions. It is the home of the Pontrhydfendigaid Celtic Music Society which encourages live, acoustic traditional music at weekends and whenever anyone wishes to strike up a tune!
