| Cheap and friendly. I always call in on my way to the train station after a visit to the parents and often end up missing a couple of trains back to Newcastle. It's no glittering star, but I could think of alot of other pubs that are a lot worse, and come on 3 pints for less than a fiver! Not bad beer either. Veryenglish - 20 Mar 2007 16:31 |
| The Glit is a superb find!Not only are you greeted warmly by the hosts,The beer speaks volumes and must boast of been the best Old Brewery in the North East. The prices are great value and you are gauranteed a differnt and lively topic of conversation everytime you visit!! | I have been out of the country for 26 years and I am amazed that the "Glit" is still there. My friend's dad ran it 39 yrs ago.
