user reviews of the Spinnaker Hotel, Gourock

please note - reviews on this site are purely the opinion of site visitors, so don't take them too seriously.

I must have stayed at the Spinnaker on at least a dozen occasions and the key word is consistency - consistently brilliant. The welcome is warm and friendly, the atmosphere great and you can meet the odd one or two Morton supporters in The Spinnaker. And they don't come much odder than Morton fans. Great place great people and I can't wait to get back.

Lovely little pub with decent Arran beer; looked worth a overnight stay.

Some way from town but you are eventually rewarded by the beautiful views across the Firth of Clyde to Dunoon and Holy Loch. At the Spinnaker, you are also rewarded with good beer in most agreeable surroundings. Of course, there is still that view either from inside or on the patio and if you eventually dont quite know where you are, there is a huge wall-mounted chart of the waterway by the window!

A family run hotel with 8 rooms overlooking the Firth of Clyde. Excellent food and a good range of beers including 2 or 3 real ales depending on the day. Supporters of the Morton soccer club meet regularly. As the smoking ban is in force from the end of March this place will be an even better place to visit.
