| popped in for a visit a while back as i know from previous visits they do guest cask ale. i wasn't disappointed with the Bass...truly a delicious pint at a good price £2.60 but there was no other ale on offer!! the grey haired fellow (the 'friendly' lanlord?)) behind the bar was clueless and not altogether friendly. strange chap. seems a shame that this once great local boozer is heading for the tubes.... | This is a friendly family pub where children and dogs are welcome. Good home-cooked food is served from 10.00am till 9.00pm either in the bar or upstairs in the refurbished non smoking 'Fireplace Restaurant'.
