This pub has been taking over by some top class pub operators and is currently under refurbishment and is due to reopen on 09/10/2015 under the new name of SIR JOHN GIBSON.

rfom what i here and ive seen on local papers they have fully re decorated the pub inside and out wiith a newer more upper class look and feel,

I think stanwell and surrounding areas need a good fresh pub and this could be it!!

My advise to the owner would be keep it a clean house!

From briefly speaking to the new landlord (Tom) who was very welcoming and even gave me a sneak peek at the ongoing work, he told me he plans to completely turn around the pub with a fresher more modern / boutique look and bring in weekly karaoke and live music , etc etc, new beer garden and a the old front bar is been changed into the sports bar with the rear bar becoming the lounge / bar / restaurant, new fully serviced kitchen with a good food offer is in place which i think is a great idea!

He was also quite keen for me to know that there was going to be new strict rules
such as a dress code after 9pm and a very strong ZERO TOLERANCE against drugs he said everyone is welcome but if old users cant change to the new rules then they will have to go elsewhere,

I really think this is going too go good for you tom and i wish you all the best!
il see you on the 9th for the open night
and also to see ELVIS MEETS THE BEATLES LIVE ON STAGE!

jack!.

This pub did have a poor reputation, but the current landlords Lyn and Lee have turned it round. Give it a go

This is arguably the best pub in the South of England. I'm from up North and have always been made to feel welcome there. In fact I've met other peopls back home who too share my views. I suppose it's probably because it's just like a Norrthern pub. Long live the Happy!
