| Friendly atmosphere and quirky bar serice. Fine pair of local ales from the cask on the bar and an excellent range of £6 pies served with mash and mushy peas. I would have preferred a smoke-free approach to the pub rather than enterring for an external corridor filled with smokers. Once inside, however, we were delighted. theo - 17 Aug 2008 23:33 |
| This pub is now called The Plough, and has been open for about 3 months, great pub, great food, and a Landlady who keeps her regulars happy with decent local ales and ciders and fantastic hospitably...long may it continue!... modman - 4 Jul 2008 14:10 |

| Good customers were leaving the other day because of a few drunks allowed to stay and swear relentlessly at the bar, be a shame if they take over as the pub, food and landlady are all very nice. hammers101 - 4 May 2008 11:43 |
