Friendly service and good beer. I am a fan of Youngs (even since it moved) and a light and bitter or a ram and special if you're feeling kamikaze on a school night, are a pleasure.

Only downside on the visit was the obvious use of marching powder in the Gents by some of the more bulging eyed, enthusiastic patrons.
Classy.

Which is a shame as this otherwise is a very good pub.

Another South East London that failed to hit the spot. It's a Youngs house. So that's probably why. Only Ordinary and Special were available. The pub is smaller inside than you would first believe and the interior is quite cosy. Football was being shown on two TVs at either end of the bar, making it the centre of attention, whether you like it or not. Unlike the previous reviewer who had also visited the Railway Bell on the same day, I would have to say that I much preferred the Railway Bell.

Got to be the best pub in area , even open Christmas Day for a few hours . Very well kept pub. Good beer for a Youngs pub.

2nd South East London tick for me on the same day I did the Railway Bell, Gypsy Hill...both Young"s pub but couldn't be more different.

This is a proper pub, friendly talkative bar maid, decent beer and good prices.

Again another Youngs pub that looks a bit tired but this is a cracker of a pub which is obviously very much a locals joint.

Food was displayed but no-one was ordering, though at £3.50 for scampi, chips and salad I was seriously tempted.

Unsure I will ever visit again but it's a cracking pub so get yourself down here and see for yourself.

Cosy, friendly boozer which I enjoyed more than Youngs more upmarket pubs to the West. Offered a very good Wandle Junction. Nice place.
