Another uninspiring choice in Southport, not far from the main shopping street. Thwaites Lancaster Bomber & Wainwright were on. Live football was showing on a big screen. Service was friendly. Although with only a couple of other customers, one of whom was fast asleep, it lacked atmosphere.

Thwaites pub with a mid-20th century exterior- brick and leaded windows. Inside, it's opened out, with one large, unremarkable L-shaped room. There seems to be an emphasis on music, with a very loud jukebox and a large motnage of famous singers on one wall. There is also a pool table towards the rear of the pub.
I had a pint of Wainwright, Lancaster Bomber being the other beer available. It was in good nick.
It's an unremarkable, solid enough boozer if nothing special- there are other places in Southport that I would prioritise.

Great entertainment on when I visited. Friendly atmosphere with the walls dedicated to pop music from years gone by with murals. I had Thwaites 'Wainwright' when I visited and it was good. Bit of a star wars bar but that doesn't bother me. : )

Not the place for a pint of real ale. Never seen anyone order it. One of the dearest pubs in Southport and also one of the dirtiest. To be avoided.
