| Visited whilst passing in the area and what a pretty country pub. As previous reviews state, there are still only two ales on - this visit 'Wight Gold' & 'Hobgoblin'. Nice to see warm mulled wine on offer and two open fires which were very cosy indeed. Staff were helpful & friendly, good Christmas menu options including vegetarian, will be visiting again soon. | What a nice pub. Visited on a Sunday. Very good food, friendly atmosphere, and well kept ale - only two on, but lets be honest, it's not a large pub, so better to have two good ales than to try for more and them end up past their best. | Not good. We turned up on a hot Friday afternoon in the middle of summer, the landlord and his wife could see us locking up our bikes and getting our wallets out and said nothing until I found the door locked when he rather brusquely told us that he was closed.
