| Excellent location and a pub that we have visited for many years. Sadly, the pub has now lost its character with food being the dominant factor. Sunday roasts used to be excellent in the 80s/90s although we were shocked when the outgoing landlord (2006) decided to serve us a Sunday roast meal with no potatoes or veg (just a slice of meat and gravy!!)as a wedding party had eaten them the night before! The Roseland Inn could do with some refurbishment, TLC and re-appraise its menus. Wine was very expensive. Cosy front bar when the fire is going stelladrinker - 11 Jul 2008 11:23 |
| Glorified eating house this. Not a pub at all. Had a look at the menu. Imagine paying nine quid yes NINE for a grilled camembert and some bread? Mugs? Plenty to be found here. Miles007 - 28 Aug 2007 12:41 |
| Nice little rural boozer but nowhere near as good as it's web site would have you believe. Food prices are silly (£5 for soup, £8 for a crab sandwich) - evidently they are playing on their Michelin rating, but given that Cornwall is pretty well off for decent pubs serving good food at reasonable prices you won't be missing much passing on this one.
