| The food was not particularly expensive by any means. It was a nice, pokey sort of pub and the fish and chips were well a bit nice. My friend has the ravioli, however, and was dismayed to find that the portion was enough to satisfy a reasonably big guinea pig. Fortunately, desserts were forthcoming. Also, my annoying vegetarian mate decided to cajole the bar staff into swapping this and that around and not adding something or other. I found this very irritating but the staff catered to her whims. God knows why. Eponine - 10 Sep 2008 14:57 |
| Without doubt the worst meal I have ever had. Service was non existant . Took 4 hours for starters and main courses and even then two main courses didn't arrive and what did arrive was burnt to a cinder. Management didn't have a clue and were only interested in getting their money . Customer satisfaction and reputation are no longer on the menu I'm sorry to say. To be avoided at all costs ! | Bit food orientated but not at all bad. Lovely ale. nickthefish - 10 Jun 2008 09:33 |
| Quiet and air clean. Nice pint, pity I could not make room for another - amazingly no disabled toilet! arthur256 - 26 Mar 2007 22:10 |
| John and Tracy have now moved on to pastures new. The new landlord / lady do not seem to want to make the same effort of introducing themselves as the previous occupiers. The beer is still first class and the food is obviously still good enough to pack the pub to the rafters most evenings of the week. I can recommend the olives and rustic bread as a light snack and beer absorber. anonymous - 11 Mar 2007 13:20 |
