user reviews of the Hermitage Hotel, Bournemouth

please note - reviews on this site are purely the opinion of site visitors, so don't take them too seriously.

This hotel is stunning, right opposite the pier and with views looking over the sea what more could you ask for! What a wonderful way to celebrate a anniversary. The staff are very attentive and friendly and nothing is to much trouble. The best part of our stay had to be the food. This is not your average seaside hotel food, more like country house hotel. The Head Chef who took over last November gained a AA rossette in April and is on the right path to make this hotel one of the best places to eat in Dorset. We are local people and recognised his name in the foyer as he used to be the Head Chef at The Langton Arms, near Blandford where he also had a Rossette. Their loss and The Hermitages gain! Good luck for the future.

I nice little oasis of a bar just back from the beach, suprisingly cheap prices considering its location, reasonable bar menu too, staff friendly, looking forward to the opening of the new bit, what's the hold up?
