| Decent pubs in Elstree and Borehamwood are like gold dust, and the Artichoke is one of the few good ones. It's nothing special, mind, but the barstaff do a good job and food is served at lunchtimes. At present the beers are an unexciting Bass and Greene King IPA. By the way, when I was visiting here on Thursday evening one of the local wags told rather a good joke:- "I went to the opticians today, and guess who I bumped into?" "Who?" "Everybody!"
