Good, friendly local. Several screens so you can see the footie/rugby from wherever you are in the bar. Has a canopy and seats outside for smokers. Makes a quiet place for lunch with friends during the week (food is above average for this type of pub) but it can get very crowded when a big match is on. Cellar is well managed and the staff proffesional. b1imey - 17 Dec 2007 19:09
Pitcher and Piano Battersea bills itself as a ‘home away from home’ and after a recent return visit, I have no hesitation in saying it does everything possible to live up to this tag. After spending the past 10 months travelling, I arrived home to my stomping ground to find what I once called my local watering hole, to be better than ever. Pitcher and Piano Battersea creates an experience unique to the local crowd, and I find it humbling that whenever I step foot in the door, I am greeted on a first name basis! I was so surprised that the Manager Dave even remembered me! I find the cosy atmosphere to be a reflection of the warmth this relaxed friendly bar oozes as a ‘local’ for the Northcote Road and surrounding residents. The quiz night on Monday is a massive hit and something I will venture to on a regular basis. They’ve put out a new cocktail called ‘Finish in the Pink’ which I can’t get enough of. I would never have thought Rose wine teamed with vodka muddled with fresh berries would be such a dangerously mouth-watering combination! I really admire the work they do for charity, namely the Pink Ribbon Foundation, where 10 p from every Pink Cosmo cocktail sold, is donated. With the grub, you most definitely get value for your money. The portions are generously sized; and with all food freshly prepared I really notice the difference in flavour. All in all, it’s great to be back! anonymous - 25 Jun 2007 15:05
Very small. Quite battered furnishings and you'll need a ladder and some binoculars to see the TV. Cramped. In a word... Dr_Will - 23 Feb 2006 16:59
Same as the rest of the chain, but always reliable for a bit to eat in the evening Ironmike - 26 Jan 2006 20:33
