The bar is staffed with a good number at the weekends. the food is the usual frozen prepared microwave/fryer ordeal. During the day its got its crowd of single mothers because the grounds allow the little gutter snips to run around.

As mentioned in previous comments it can get very hot in here, its not good when you have spent nearly 2 hours making yourself look and smell gorgeous to end up with sweat pouring off you and your hair stuck to your head, kinda ruins the rest of the night!
I also wouldn,t recommend eating in the green room unless you have plenty of time, we have been there twice and both times the service was painfully slow even though there were staff stood around doing nothing.
I,ll end on a positive note, in the summer live bands play in the beer garden (weather permitting)and its well worth going along.

The Brewery has several bars which usually sell up to 6 good real ales. The food is good especially the pizza's. It is very popular with the local crowd and will usually be busy on a weekend or during holidays, so if you want to eat then get here early.
The main bar can get very hot in summer due to the building having no air conditioning but this is compensated for by a large garden area with tables and shades.
For those who don't like noise then there is a second bar, the theatre bar downstairs which is quieter.
I have to agree with previous commentators though that the bar manager and restarant manager need a serious kick up the proverbial, There are usually about half a dozen members of staff behind the vats bar at the weekend but only half of them seem to do any work.

The beer is usually good here with plenty of choice 5 or 6 real als normally. The food is good.......if you get it, the sevice is atrocious. I gave up on this place after the fourth consecutive time my order was cocked-up. This can range from anything to not getting your food at all when you are waiting to go to the cinema despite several enquiries and several assurances that it's on its way. (Finally with 5 minutes to go before the film an apology of oh sorry we'll do it now). Or of course theres the regular overcharges on drink prices. Then you get the starters and main courses being brought to your table together. Or the humble 40 minute wait at a pre-booked table in the Green Room before the waitress even asks you what you'd like only to be told that the all of the main courses that we wanted and had been eying hungrily for 40 minutes were sold out.
The Brewery deserves an accolade for combining the worst possible Bar and Resteraunt managers ever known.
