What a mess - All the Thai Staff have gone - dont know who is cooking Thai Food but it is absolutely disgusting - Landlord John has gone - apparently had a bust up with a guy called Snakey - found out he had been at it with VAT etc, and a spot of money laundering as well - Bar Staff couldnt care less about serving you - table staff not interested at all and as I said before food was quite disgusting. We certainly wont be going back again. Outside there were some furry friends playing football in the garden and behind the food shed. Not too pleasant for the kids - thought we saw a couple inside as well. What a shame cause this to be one of our favourite places.

Pub with a view of the rather Simpson-esque Didcot Power Station (as in Mr Burns). £2.80 for a Brakspear Shandy, not bad for this area in these inflationary days. They also serve God-awful Hobgoblin should you need an emetic. I paid a very reasonable £5.95 for a two course meal - brocolli 'bake' (i.e. brocolli with white sauce on it) and Spotted Dick. Thai buffet was the same price, though they also advertise a buy-in-advance ticket for £2.50. Interior was reasonable, some good use of internal features such as a fireplace for internal divisions. There was no carpet and Christmas lights still seemed to be up at the bar. Someone else had the Ploughmans which cost more but looked good. I would have a more positive impression of this pub if I hadn't used the toilet. It was dingy, there were no paper towels and the hand dryer wasn't working.

The garden is now quite scruffy too. The food we tried was poor - hard baked potato and tuna baguette that tasted like cat food - though it was cheap and came very quickly despite being a busy Saturday lunchtime.

Not a pleasant experience... I complained about a bad pint of beer and was loudly ostracized by the Landlord who is a non drinker. A replacement pint was eventually and reluctantly forthcoming after a somewhat embarrassingly angry and theatrical performance. I will not be returning !

The garden here is lovely, and the food (standard pub fare and thai) is reasonably priced and tasty. Good cider too. The inside's a bit scruffy though.
