| A Greene King pub but not slavish to that brewery in its range of ales, this seems to be a decent student pub and I shall return. | i have to say that i do have reservations about GK pubs, as most of us know that they are responsible for some cruel management decisions to staff and beers alike, BUT, i realy like this pub, when i was last in they had a fantastic pint of holdens golden glow, and a few days later yorkshire terrior, very well kept and in lovely condition, the staff are very welcoming, a true corner pub, well worth popping along to see whats going down. jonthehat - 18 Mar 2011 09:56 |
| Perhaps my favourite Oxford boozer. Friendly staff and the added bonus of a late bar at the weekend so middle aged degenerates can stay on the sauce without the disgrace of the disco. The beer is always well kept, but limited to the Greene King approved list, which is my only gripe. | Popped in last night for a quick drink on our way up the Iffley road. I had an excellent pint of Olde Trip, although the soft drink options weren't great. The barman was very friendly and there was a good atmosphere in the pub. Worth a visit I reckon. BotleyBen - 24 Oct 2009 10:31 |
