I paid a fiver for a double vodka and coke. Fucking joke. Full of slags trying to get off with rich idiots. I wish Bin Laden would bomb this place, I really do.

Great bar for a drink before hitting the clubs. Clientele are mainly the fashionistas of York, it's quite a clique and if you don't fit in, they'll let you know faster than you can say' feather my hair and call me Jean-Paul'.
Drinks are expensive but the atmosphere makes it worthwhile. There's a huge DJ booth upstairs playing funky house, and if you're lucky, the Saxophone Guy will be there playing over the music (it's strangely amazing).
Only downside is that the Chavs have started to bring their Burberry-clad asses into the bar. Get back to Yates's guys...it's not meant to be...

Cool bar with plenty of space. Muscle Mary DJ plays funky house on Saturday which seems to go down well enough even if it is badly mixed.

Read 'provincial' instead of 'provisional' above. My secretary has just had a pay cut.

The outside terrace is a great place to chill on a Sunday afternoon. Great views of the river. Apart from that, it's your usual chain establishment done well.
