In the Beer Guide but no real on - not sure of pub's status. Apart from that, a good, basic town local.

Fairly basic pub that looks like it's geared to the big screen sports / pools table / disco / karaoke market. If that's not your scene, still worth a visit early on because the beer's only 2.40 a pint :-)

Great pub at weekends, can get a bit squashed if good bands are playing on fridays/ saturdays. Enjoyable pub - and many age groups there, bar staff are very quick to see people waiting, just a pity they dont update their jukebox more for when they havent got bands playing.
See Sharon Harris (landlady) to find out whats on soon!!

Amazing atmosphere , saw GERTCHA , believe or not a Chas and Dave tribute. They were better than the real thing and just blew the audience away. Everybody dancing on tables ,chairs , singing , amazing how many younger people there. Great sound , light show and the knee`s up was great. See Sharon the guv`ness to see when they r back.

Something a bit different, looked like a pool tournament going on when I was there. Fairly raucous (but unthreatening) atmosphere.

My ale OK (think it was Courage). Found the music a bit loud, inside a bit darknot my bag but can see it appealing to others.

Impressive edifice from the outside, tiled and imposing.

Not too bad, may pop in again at some point.
