| My wife, Tricia and I have visited this pub several times recently. We have been very impressed. On a personal note, I haven't tasted a better real ale anywhere. I notice that the Landlords, Peter and Angela, have been awarded two 'Marques of Excellence' for their beer. We're very impressed with the cleanliness and decor of the entire premises, which gives a great confidence when ordering food. We have now eaten several meals there and thoroughly enjoyed them all. The tasty Beer-battered Fish and Chips are the best value around, but our favourite so far were the the massive and succulent T-Bone steaks. The menu is constantly changing with many specials, so there is always something different to try. Another great option available is that Peter and Angela are always willing to cater for private parties such as birthdays, weddings, christenings, funerals etc. Our daughter held her 40th birthday there in July. The service and staff were excellent. JohnandTricia - 9 Jan 2012 17:21 |
| Wow -- what a transformation. Peter and Angela have done a great job in making the Victoria a really nice place. Seems to be a lot going on - saw Magic Bus there on Christmas eve - fabolous musical duo with magic thrown in between sets. Looking forward to the curry and cobra evening. :) :) ShakyT - 29 Dec 2011 15:29 |

Had a very drinkable pint pride. The fish and chips, beer battered fish and at £4.50 a portion verry good, also a goodlysized portion,Highly recomended,Thursday Friday at lunch time only, all day Saturday. There is a outside area for smokers and also a childrens play area. There is a beer festival coming shortly.Well worth a visit The 459 bus stops outside.hourly service,No Sunday service. retiree - 16 Jun 2011 17:26 |
