A very good pint of Wadworth "Horizon" to be had. A lovely historic interior with open courtyard for the summer months. 8/10

This is a classic pub to visit during the winter months - a nice roaring fire, an interesting interior and exterior (although the trip to the conveniences can just be a little too interesting in adverse weather) and a cracking menu.

Beer is Wadworth - primarily 6X.

Been in a few times, but the place is mainly a tourist pub now. not tried the food, a bit too close to home for that.

Great location, very atmospheric. Beer choice ok. Haven't eaten myself, but have heard good reports.

Heaving with atmoshpere, good beer, hearty protions (especially Sunday lunch) - in all, a great 'olde worlde' pub - with the history to back it up. Been with work colleagues (with overseas guests) and with my very young family, and it catered well for both. Ask about the dungeon dining room for that special occcasion! Good walk to the rear. A top pub. Booked for Mothers day!
