I am happy to say the Pipers Arms has now re-opened! I last visited this pub about 2 years ago and having heard that they had re-opened I was curious to see what it was like. WOW what a transformation! There'a now an atmosphere in here, great staff I was made to feel very welcome. I also discovered they now do food. My partner and I decided to give it a try and were very impressed, all cooked fresh and did not have to wait either. They also have live music at the weekends and a quiz night on a Tuesday which is free to enter with a £50 prize! We shall be visiting this pub regularly and would recommend to anyone who enjoys good food, drink and real ale, with an atmoshere to boot!

Still closed with steel shutters at the windows. It don't look good I'm afraid.

It's currently shut (closed the doors in early march in a bit of rush). Will hopefully re-open soon. The music is missed.

Place is in the doldrums at the moment, which is a shame. One of too few places in Old Town with live music every weekend.
Looks as if it's constantly being done up, get that finished and we'll see.
3 or 4 real ales, standard selection all round.
