| We went to see NL - France here, they had a great big screen. The staff was very helpful. We enjoyed the food, my pumpkin dish looked a bit little at first but it was very nice and filling, little pricy though. The atmosphere really picked up once the nearby 20-20 game finished. | The White Horse seems to have firmly established itself now and has a healthy-sized group of regulars. Particular strong points: the large overhead fans that keep things cool on a warm day, key football games being played on either a large retractable flat screen or a smaller inobtrusive screen by the bar, good range of wines, changing (albeit a little overpriced) menu, the interesting wooden interior with range of seating options (sofas, booths, table & chairs) It's a lovely space and the staff are always helpful & friendly. | It's a good crowd that seems to frequent this bar- local business people, respectable neighbours and quite a large gay crowd. However, the food is not up to much and is very expensive! The Pilgrim down the road is much better for a good Sunday roast and pint of Adnams chrisdavies22 - 29 Jun 2007 08:16 |
