| Pleasant atmosphere, in need of traditional pub food! Ate there 18 months ago and the food was home made, good quality grub! A little disappointed to see that there was only pies available this visit! Good beer, friendly staff and included on the real ale trail! aboutownies - 23 Sep 2010 21:58 |
| Conveniently situated just opposite the station, this is a single room pub that manages to fit in a whole range of styles. At one end there’s an area more geared up for dining with attractive exposed stonework. It then runs through a conventional lounge bar in the middle in to a sports bar at the opposite end with a pool table and a dart board. There’s a reasonable sized patio out the front, which was a popular spot on a recent Sunday afternoon visit. There’s a number of flower troughs around the edge, and the ashtrays are made from scallop shells, just to remind you that you’re in Cornwall’s second biggest fishing port.
