I visited Sunday 5th Aug. No welcome, no greeting, we were told to choose a table & order & pay at the bar. Whilst running around collecting drinks, cutlery, condiments, etc the table nest to us we complaining the four orders were all wrong. We spent +£40 on food & the portions were tiny, no least the grapes used as garnish which were obviously moldy. Everything was poor, the owners cold & thoughtless. An appalling experiance, an appalling hotel & host. Good ridence.

The main attraction of this pub is the amazing views across Plymouth Sound. The building is pleasant enough and has been recently refurbished, it doesn't however have the character of the other pubs in the village since it's 1960s built rather than 19th century!

The staff are pleasant and courteous. When I last went to the Beach Bar there wasn't a huge selection of beers, but at the time they were redoing the beer cellar. I haven't eaten there in a while, but the last time I did the food was very nice.
