Noticed that a lot of the comments are quite old. We have been going to the pub for long time, and would make the observation that the pub has changed hands several times and since.

It's one of those pubs you have to drive to, but we have never had a bad meal, and we usually avoid Sunday lunch and Mothers Day etc.

We have found that current the owners are pleasant, they try hard and the beer is well kept.

Food is reasonably priced and varied, and always cooked to order, and when it has been busy, you need to be patient...

Popped in for a drink and a meal one afternoon a few weeks ago. Beer was good and food good, not exceptional but generous portions and very enjoyable. Would go again if in the area.

I agree with Sweeting 29. Gone downhill a bit. Restricted opening times.
It has just changed hands a week ago so we shall see.
