| Lunch today. Reasonable selection of cask beers. Marston's Pedigree was good but not great. Centuries old coaching inn - looks great from the outside but now run by a chain and had the interior 'standardised' - clean but no atmosphere. | What a shame - its a nice building but the decorators wrecked it a few years ago and its lost all its atmosphere. Got live music on a Friday, but iot just attracts the yobs. Foodies have taken over really, or people staying the night. Got real ales, but a very strange manager called John. He made it clear that he doesnt like us girls in 'his' pub! | Been today for lunch, great selection of cask ales and the food was really tasty. Had the chefs game pie and the lady had a bruschetta. The breads were tasty too. Glad to see the place turned around from what it was. trav3003 - 27 May 2006 17:24 |
