Visited the West Hill on two recent sunday afternoon/evenings. The beer was excellent on both occasions (Tribute & Sussex Best). The pub was suggested by my daughter, a vegan, because it offers a carvery with a regular vegan option all day on sundays. The food was as good as the beer. Reasonably priced, good quality and served piping hot with a smile by the friendly staff. Different staff on both our visits. One young guy from Sussex uni and a young lady with dreads and tats. Both attentive, cheerful and assets to this pub. I was born into the business & have run a busy ale & food house for forty years. I would recommend the West Hill to any of my friends and have done so!

Harveys Sussex Best and Summer Lightning which was a degree or two too warm. Also Westons cider on draught. Pleasant enough pub, helpful barmaid.

Great pub this. Went there for the first time recently. Friendly staff. Great atmosphere. And a very entertaining quiz.

After a period of changing tenants the Belle Vue has settled down and much improved under new owners. The staff are friendly and competent. Nice cider and the usual selection of lagers, Guinness, etc. Good selection of traditional and not so traditional food. Only thing I'm not so certain about is the change of name from the Belle Vue to the West Hill.
