The Bell Vue seemed friendly and quiet at first. Our order for Sunday roast was taken with an inclusive dessert,as with our money of £10.Our roasts arrived quit promtly.Roasts finished and where asked if we would like a further few mins before previously ordered dessert to be served.Waited, then told dessert ordered had all gone.Alternative dessert offered but not liked by any one.The chef was unhelpful, refused to explain how this had happened and left the bar man to liase. Left pub with a token of £1 back and no dessert. Very poor to minimal customer service.

A quirky arty sort of place in the best possible way. Definitely Brighton.

I went there only once, but had a great time. The landlady is brilliant and makes everyone feel welcome. If your are near Brighton Station and waiting for a train, walk up the hill towards the dials and give it a go.

Great pub. I have never had anything but a great night in here. It's open late on the weekends and has a nice atmosphere. Staff are friendly but not imposing so it dosn't feel like a 'local' which is fine by me! Prices are normal centre of Brighton prices (i.e. £3.00 a pint) but you get used to that in Brighton!

Very ordinary place this one, does not stand out of the crowr at all. One gripe of mine would be smoking at the bar. As far as I know most pubs have banned smoking at the bar, but it seems that this one does not give a monkeys. Also in general its a very smokey place what can ruin a nice quiet evening out with my bit of squease.
