Decent old pub, with friendly staff. Even the Greene King IPA tasted pretty good (which is not something I say very often). One of several reasonable pubs within walking distance of the eastern edge of Bedford town centre.

Fantastic traditional old pub. Best pint of Abbot Ale in Bedford...no question. The food is excellent as well and very reasonably priced.

The oldest pub in town and perhaps the coolest. Clientele of all ages. Live acoustic music on Thursday night. Can get very full at the weekends.

Quality food, ridiculously well priced, including locally sourced sausages from the butcher a few doors away. Split into three separate areas with one separate room which is non-smoking and has been long before non-smoking areas became en vogue. Well kept ales (Greene King) and very friendly staff. A real gem of a pub in a town that sadly lacks decent boozers.
