| I'm sorry to hear of Frank's death, fine old Landlord and one seriously good chef. Now, spare a thought(pity)for anyone who thinks they can break the rules now Jan is a Civil Servant and holding the pen ! One of the very best Landladies I ever met. | My family ran this pub for 16 years, until 1996. Sadly it hasn't has a major refurbishment since 1987 and is now looking quite shabby. On my last visit (2005) it was a battle to negotiate my way around the gaming machines and pool tables that have been placed in the bar. Beer was okay but I haven't tried the food. Quite a large "pondlife" contingent congregating there now too. Long gone the days of Round Table, Lions Club Rotary, Probus & "41" Club meets/functions. Sketchy - 17 Nov 2006 11:26 |
