Used to go in here fairly regularly but haven't been back in ages! Smart, spacious & never too busy. Keep meaning to find an excuse to go back in here. telephones_and_toliets - 3 Dec 2009 12:05
I was pleasantly surprised when I visited this bar. It was only a Tuesday evening, so it wasn't very busy, but the staff were great. I was only supposed to stay for a few drinks with clients, but I was still here long after they had gone...The only downside to this place is that I didn't leave till it closed!!! Definitely be visiting again! I would recommend this place to anyone. anonymous - 22 Oct 2007 16:17
Not sure if it was expnsive as didn't get to buy a round... The stella tasted a bit more of chemicals than usual but the guinness was ok... Table service was a nice idea... but very busy indoors so sat out in the wind... get there early i suppose if you really want to visit! drunkmarv - 29 Jun 2007 11:54
Have a drink here and you can claim you have been in the Gherkin, although only just. Expensive and pretentious. I only go there if the boss is buying. goldendodo - 16 Nov 2006 00:14
One of my locals - not a bad bar at all although experienced something I'd not seen before... Started a tab on my Credit Card, at the end of night asked to pay, at which point the barman (hidden from view) keyed in the damage into the handheld credit card machine and then on Gratuity screen on the machine he also keyed what he thought I'd like to tip him, pressed enter and passed the machine back to me for my PIN number. I complained saying I don't tip if I have to get the drinks myself from the bar (table service I see differently) - he then started moaning that it was "company policy" and that he doesn't get paid enough, and "what do you expect if you get cheap drinks" (which is lie as they weren't cheap)... Overall Good bar/location - (some) crap staff. Westbear75 - 6 Oct 2006 12:47
