There has been no pub with this name in the village ever since I have lived here (18 months).

There is a Chinese restaurant, Offley Oriental, and I believe that what used to be the Gloucester Arms was converted into a Chinese restaurant many years ago.

I live in the village and the first meal I had at the Glouchester arms in summer 2005 was fantastic. Since then there has been several changes in management and ownership and the food has dived. Only today I waited 45min for a burger which was not cheap and I didn't finish it. Salad was worse than bad and the staff sit around smoking all day. A place sadly I will not be going back to. The Green man is always full and the Red Lion is also a good value for money and friendly pub. I hope one day the Glouchester Arms will sort themselves out and there may be more than 2 customers.

We went a couple of weeks ago for the Sunday Carvery and our experiences varied. The roast beef was tough to the point we gave up trying to cut it. The pork, apparently, was delicious. All the vegetables were good. The desserts were average. The interior was bright and sunny and the staff friendly.

It's such a shame the "Gloucester" has never reached it's full potential. This should be THE pub in Offley and a place people put themselves to visit.
The cavery is great on a Sunday, home cooked food and the new landlord is a good bloke...and great karaoke singer.
If I win the lottery this will be purchased by myself after the right changes I'll be enjoying this place and have something to be proud of.
If there are any lottery winners out there looking for a good return after 2-4 years drop me a line.

I quiet traditional pub that serves traditional pub grub. It has just come under new managment and also has just employed a new chef. There is nothing on the menu over £10 all of which is freshley cooked on the premises. It also does a great sunday carvery offering 4 types of meat a pudding and tea or coffee for only £9.95. It is currently also offering a new menu for christmas and is currently taking bookings.
