Visited in June and this pub was CLOSED. Word was it is for sale as a private dwelling — what a shame. lynx - 4 Aug 2010 23:55
Former Shepherd Neame house - now a freehouse - and a good village pub serving the local Larkins beers as well as the ever-reliable Harveys. Although mostly interested in the beer, I must say that the sandwiches were excellent too. rpadam - 12 Apr 2008 16:16
Great little pub. Everyone is very friendly and the food and ale are excellent. Always fun to be had.. Pop in and see for yourself.. alehog - 20 Nov 2007 15:21
Seems to be the hub of village life and it's fairly easy to see why. Friendly service and good ale in pleasant surroundings. Much more of a pub feel than it's neighbour down the road, the Fleur de Lis. coulsdoncrawler - 11 Aug 2007 23:28
I think this pub’s changed hands since the preceding reviews were posted. We’ve gone there a few times in the past 6 or 8 months. It’s a free house now – Harveys and Larkins, the dream team! The food is good too although some of it is bought-in. There is even a special deal for wrinklies – a smaller main course and a sweet for a fiver. Great value for the dodderers among us. It’s a very friendly pub. It is always nice to be remembered from one visit to the next, even if they are weeks or months apart. DavidCook - 12 Feb 2007 21:02
