I was glad to see the expansion of one of Sheffield's longest serving 'adult' bars. Things like Sola and Boho have gone but w+P still appears to be going strong. My 'london type' friends never fail to be impressed by it. Interpret that how you will! Bitter is not a strong point, but budvar on draught is nice. Will try the serrano ham tapas next time. 8 out of ten I reckon. dry_riser_inlet - 16 Sep 2008 08:52
Pleasant bar, often busy with solicitors and other local office workers. Nice food, decent beer. Precipitous stairs. Apparently there are plans to expand back to Paradise Square. SheffieldMickey - 3 Mar 2008 00:00
Great little bar, small but perfectly formed. The Wig and Pen is a classy bar that attracts a good range of smart customers - no townies! It's a massive transformation on what used to be Shenanigans. Cosy and friendly atmosphere with friendly service from the staff. Currently serving Paulaner Weissbier. Paulaner - 12 Jan 2008 01:25
Trendy bar by the Cathedral, but oh the 2 beers I had were absolute swill, very badly kept, I had to complain about both of them, fair enough they were changed but they shouldn't be served in the first place. imdownthepub - 4 Sep 2007 18:00
Was in here yesterday, good pub. Had a decent pint of Spire. Nice ambience felt homey. Was full of solicitors and policemen, possibly due to the location only being a couple of minutes away from the courts :o)...... BigJapp2 - 7 Feb 2007 17:30
