went in with children ,no signs on door saying children have to eat in the broom cupboard out the back ,let us buy drinks for them though, they did have an portable gas heater in the room for the kids, a young female did come to tell us that children arnt allowed to sit in the bar(obviously sent by the landlord cause he wasnt brave rnough to do it himself) abit strange that children arnt allowed in the bar but pets were sjohnmay - 2 Jan 2012 22:07
Was quite busy Saturday lunchtime. Good selection of food costing about £7. The cottage pie, lasagne and plaice meals were very nice. Let down by only one choice of ale - Doom Bar. I suppose we should be grateful there was more than one choice of food! fugglehops - 5 Aug 2011 20:27
Great looking pub with a decent atmosphere but sadly all 3 pumps were dispensing Doom Bar and the regulars seated round the bar made it hard to get served. Another beer or two would have made it a more regular haunt on our week down there. bromsgrovebeerboy - 1 Jun 2011 20:07
Visited the Salutation this week on my annual pilgrimage to Cornwall and found it the same as ever. Food was good and reasonably priced. Doom Bar is still the only real ale on offer - no problem for me as I enjoy it - but just for a change a tried a pint of Sharps Cornish cider, and very nice it was too. The best pub in Looe in my opinion - ticks all the boxes for beer, food and atmosphere. jq000004 - 28 May 2011 19:26
Was in here last weekend and the place was absolutely full, standing room only. Food looked good, and the Doom Bar was in good nick. Best sociable pub in Looe. Lord_Jeffers - 2 Mar 2011 18:09
