I hate to go along with the previous comments but I agree this pub is not the best... If you want a nice pub then go somewhere else, very very expensive and the atmosphere left us feeling almost unwelcome. I am used to the Central London prices that this place charges but not for the overall experience it offered us. All that said if you like toilets or drains that stink then this is the place for you. Shepard Neame should sort it out as its clear its not being managed correctly or maintained to the standard of other pubs in the area. davidlincolnjones - 27 Jul 2011 14:57
A pub that has certainly gone down hill. Never many people inside, but always noisy, especially when football is on, give you an idea of the locals. Loads of copper kettles and plates everwhere, the only good feature. A few tables out front, but right near busy traffic junction, so excessive carbon dioxide intake likely. My advice give the pub a miss, but victorian resturant upstairs is defo worth a visit. milo71 - 6 Jul 2011 14:03
Not exactly a place that I would choose to visit. Poor service at the bar by a barmaid that clearly did not wish to be there and well overpriced on drinks. I cannot understand how this pub survives, its not particularly clean the girls toilets were out of tissue in one cubical and the cigarette buts that litter the pavement outside make this one of the most undesirable places I've been to. Sort it out! KatyD - 4 Jul 2011 23:29
A really nice pub but maybe I should not have seen it today, such a shame about the people in it! KatyD - 17 Apr 2011 23:20
Always been a decent boozer, pots and pans and an insitution in the area everyone knows them. Beer good but it is pricey, great place to go for a pint before the cinema.... Batman1 - 8 Dec 2009 13:18
