Four of us had dinner here in early April - and were very disapointed with the food and service. Two of us had fish and chips which tasted of curry. After complaining, we were given the option of sending it back - but, having eaten here before, we were not confident of any improvement. The staff seemed quiet indifferent to our needs and we have no plans to return. Its a shame because its a fine building with great poential with the right management.

Not bad place for dinner and beers. Lovely pub only spoilt and let down by the foreign female manager who is rude and often looses the place business to the other nearby pubs. Young girl and new guy with glasses is excellent though and makes up for some of the other staff. Good beers that are kept well.

Wonderful old building with good (if over-priced) food and tolerable beer. The only thing that spoiled my last visit was the attitude of the manager. Not a very happy or welcoming man who seems not to understand what an Olde English coaching inn should be all about. Shan't be going again until there's a change in the management.

Nice public bar, there was a good atmosphere.
Rather disapointingly at 10.50pm on a Friday night whilst we all had almost full pints they started stacking all the chairs up around us, I think to prompt us to leave!
Shame.

Interesting building. Food only average (no mint sauce available to accompany lamb). Quick service but we were the only customers at 7.45pm. Good parking.
