| Walked past last night and the place is boarded up with closed until further notice written on the boarding. Looks like yet another person has tried and failed to make this place work. It's a pity as the woman running it seemed to have got it ticking over nicely. It was never packed but was always reasonably busy. Think this place has had it's day as a pub and needs someone to try something different now. It's just that bit too far off the high street to poach custom from the bigger chain pubs. Lets face it one less pub in Sutton town centre is not a bad thing even if it was one of the better ones. anonymous - 18 Jul 2007 09:23 |
| This pub stands well apart from the other pubs in Sutton. its classy, attractive, has lovely atmosphere and its very comfortable. Drinks are a bit pricey but I think its worth it to drink in a decent pub. A great find! misti - 3 Apr 2007 20:20 |

| Well, what can we say......this is a cool bar ! Beer spot on, decent wine, good food, superb landlady. in the pubs defence, the review dated 8 nov was in our opinion a definate one off regarding lots of leering drunk men, as we always seem to see an equal balance of men and women in the bar. The only comparison between ikea and the academy is they both sell good value food. Why have you stayed ananymous !.......do you run another pub in sutton we wonder.
