This is truly the worse establishment we've ever visted.
The room was disgusting; cold, poorly serviced, the ceiling was hanging down and damp, the bath mat was filthy, the hand towel soiled. The TV was covered in a film of dust and had wires trailing out. The room smelt damp and unused, probably for months! There were cobwebs decorating the corners and bluetac holding up wall paper. There was no privacy the curtains were so dirty it was better not to touch them We kept our shoes on as the carpet was so grimy.
When the food was ordered it came rather too quickly to be freshly prepared and it proved inedible.
The bar was void of any other customers and requires an immediate visit from Health and Hygiene representatives.
Sad, as the location and size of the property could have great potential.
All this and the Landlord had the cheek to charge £45 !!!

Stopped by for a pint; the Taylor's Landlord was OK. The big German Shepherd philosophical rather than friendly. Interesting info on the walls on the Piltdown Man hoax, but the decor very slapdash. Obviously aims for family custom.

Excellent venue for a sunny day to take the kids to. The prices are reasonable on the drinks and there is a fabulous play area. Keep an eye on the access road though as this passes between the play area and seating area. The staff were friendly and polite. Couldn't ask for more.

Just dreadful - a decent vet could have got my daughter's fishcake swimming again.

If you like your cold chips half cooked, your cheese unmelted on your crispy burger, and your raw bacon to have complimentary Alsatian hair, then you'll love it.

If, however, you have any sort of respect for your intestines I'd recommend you carry on down the A272 for a couple of miles to the Kings Head - at least their food is edible.

Not even an apology from the landlord when we sent stuff back.

In summary, the worst food I've eaten, anywhere, ever (and that includes cold army rations)
