Pub just re-opened as a "sports Bar". Lots of telly's, lot's of music, NO real Ale. camra - 25 Apr 2010 15:26
Regrettably the fatbadger review was written when the Brown Bear was a tickers/scoopers haven before Mary moved on to the Lower Red Lion in St Albans. TiaMariaJim - 7 Jul 2008 09:49
I don’t know who wrote the review I found on fatbadgerdotcodotuk but it paints an inaccurate picture. Reality was just Pride, Abbot, Gkipa. Friendly enough landlord, but unexeptional pub. Pool table to the rear, a couple of very distressed picnic sets in the plainly paved terrace (think back yard) outside. trainman - 6 Jul 2008 07:48
The Brown Bear is the place to go, just resently had new landlord. Has bands on the odd Satursday evenings and also has Karaoke on Sundays. But not every Sundays, the next Karaoke night is on Sunday 6th April 2008. All beers in the Brown Bear is serve well and taste nice. Also does rolls and you alway get warm welcome to the Brown Bear. No rudeness here. centre - 8 Mar 2008 21:33
Quirky pub close to town centre but you'd miss it if you weren't looking for it. The beer's in good nick, there's a friendly welcome. Add this to The Rose if you want a real ale crawl in Biggleswade without having to drink Greene King IPA (and who wouldn't?!). SCE - 25 Feb 2006 17:54
