Pubs Ok and some of the Bands are good. Saw a band called "Undercover" and have to say that they were Ok but would be better without the singer, she lets them down.

Yuk!Looked like something out of the Addams Family, with the mad monk behind the bar.
Only Robinsons Unicorn available on the hand pulls, tasted like vinegar.

The Bakers Vaults is THE live music venue in Stockport! The standard of bands is incredibly high, particularly on Friday & Saturday when it is advisable to come early if you want a seat. The music is usually Blues, Rock or Soul. So what if they don't stock Parsons Buttock or Throttled Ram - they keep an excellent Guinness!

Terrible absence of real ales, which is the reason one might find staff members in the Railway on Portwood.

Not a bad pub, usually has some local 'jazz sounds' emitting from the premises on a weekends. Not particularly brilliant but then again it is free entry and also free from chav's and 'herberts'.

Decent folk, decent pint and an old piano for your musical pleasure, providing you can play!
Worth a pint.
