My first ever visit yesterday. No problems whatsoever with the bar staff, in fact, I found them very convivial. Each to their own I suppose...

The fact that they had one of my favourite drinks on - Titanic's Plum Porter, made my visit most memorable.

Classic jukebox in the corner blasting out my favourite songs. This sounds like a Thin Lizzy song haha.

Good solid 9/10 for me.

Very nice pub and as has been pointed out, has obviously had a major refurb in the not too distant past. It looks nothing like the photo that is on here - in fact the contrast is quite fascinating.

There was a fair amount of choice at the bar, a few Robinsons ales plus guests. However, when in Stockport... so a pint of the Red N Black Porter it was, at 5.8% and served in Robinsons branded dimpled glass tankards.

The pub was quite busy but we didn't wait too long to be served, and managed to find a table near the front of the pub. I would be very happy to pay a return visit.

Concur with the previous poster, I went in a couple of Saturdays ago and had a similar issue. It really is a shame tho because this is a really good pub with decent beer.

Another great Robinsons pub, no expense spared, and cracking array of different drinks to suit all tastes. Sadly let down by poor attitude of bar staff on duty possibly due to a recruitment or maybe a training issue? Refused service because 1 person in our group sang, when a quiet word with the individual concerned would have been suffice. Can't cope if more than 1 person awaiting service. Lacks atmosphere as a result.

Appears newly refurbished. Had four or five decent ales on. Nice atmosphere. A must on any trip to Stockport.
